So, you want your blog to appear on the front page of Trawler Blogs. There are a few things you can do to up your chances of getting Featured.
The bottom line is to write good content, include high-quality photos, use tags to describe your content, and tell us about your blog! We are always looking for new trawler blogs to follow and content is king when it comes down to deciding who to feature and who not to.
Here are our top suggestions for getting featured on Trawler Blogs:
- Write Awesome Content – Write about your trawler, trawlers in general, travels, anchorages, trawler tech, cruising guides, or living aboard a trawler. Or, write about the off-season: what maintenance are you doing during the winter? Make your stories interesting and original. On average, try to make sure that your posts have at least 300-500 words.
- Post Regularly – We try to keep our blog list up to date with cruisers who actively post. Our readers want fresh stories that are relevant. Readers don’t generally follow blogs that post infrequently so try to post at least 1 post per week (more if possible).
- Link to Us – This is the easiest way for us to find you. When you link to us, and someone follows that link, we get a ping that lets us know your blog exists. We’ll come check you out and see whether your blog aligns with our readers’ interests. We can’t follow your blog if we don’t know that you are out there!
- Tag Your Posts– Tagging your posts lets us better sort your content and adds value to our readers (and to your blog)!
- Use common and generic tags rather than obscure tags. We are much more likely to find your post if you are using a tag that is more likely to be searched for and found.
Hopefully, this information helps you figure out how to get listed on TrawerBlogs.com! Still, if you’d like, send an email to jacob@trawlerblogs.com and let us know your blog’s URL.
