Last Thursday Julie and I took a walk out to the breakwater for the marina and noticed that there was a wedding in progress. There were a lot of folks fishing with lines wrapped around water bottles using lures to catch fish, mostly rock fis…

Puerto Vallarta Malecon, Churches and Shopping
Julie and I spent part of last Friday exploring the malecon, churches and doing some shopping at the markets there. Like La Paz and Mazatlan the malecon has a lot of art, sculptures and other interesting things to see. The day was a little f…
A Place called Paradise!
We are in the Paradise Village marina that is a part of the Paradise Village Resort – a very large complex with shopping, medical office, grocery store, hotel, condos, yacht club, restaurants, outstanding beach area and a local service t…
Mazatlan to Puerto Vallarta
We left Mazatlan last Sunday morning at 7:50 am with little wind and a good 3 feet of water under the boat. The run out to the ocean wasn't a problem even though the tide was still coming in and provided some currents to deal with. We to…
Puerto Vallarta

Mazatlan, the Town
We spent the last 2 days exploring Mazatlan. Yesterday was spent on the waterfront and the Mercado looking at stuff and a little shopping since we found a place that I could sit on a couch and they had free beer. I strongly encourage Julie to shop in these places. The waterfront is covered with many statues that reflect Mazatlan’s history.

We left Costabaja at 0630 Sunday morning and were really impressed that the Nordhavn folks were up to see us off (Thanks, George, Jay, and Lisa). In addition, as we were pulling out we received a VHF radio call from our friends on Sunnysid…
