Vindolanda

We had another wonderful day in Northumberland. We took a trip to Vindolanda,  just outside of Newcastle,  a Roman site that dates back two thousand years.

Hilary’s sheep came down the hill to get a treat and visit with us. They are very friendly. We all think the sheep in the front resembles Princess Eugenie with her lovely hat at the Royal Wedding. Although the sheep is a bit more attractive!

Dunstanburgh Castle Built in 1313

We hiked out to Dunstanburgh Castle today with Callum and his parents John and Hilary Burns. It was a beautiful day.  I think they claim it always rains here just to keep others away… It is strange seeing a modern golf course next to a 700 year …

April Fools CRYC Cruise

A trip to Government Island with The Columbia River Yacht Club. We had a lot of fun getting to know other members. The weather didn’t cooperated, rain, rain, rain… But we enjoyed the company.
